We’ve been playing around with Instagram lately, photographing during our after hours trail runs and bike rides. Here’s a view from high up on Red Mountain outside of Glenwood Springs, yesterday evening. We love our mountain towns.

In case you missed this year’s Perseid meteor shower, you can experience it via CMC Steamboat Springs sustainability studies student – and exceptional filmmaker – Ben Saheb’s latest video.  Take a few moments to enjoy this film, which beautiful captures the magic of Colorado’s night skies.

Walter Isaacson, author of Steve Jobs biography, spoke about the future of media and CMC’s Isaacson School of New Media last Friday at a CMC Foundation event in Aspen. Learn more about the Isaacson School at isaacsonschool.org. There’s still time to register for fall 2013 classes.

We can never get enough of one of our favorite local mountains. Here’s Mt. Sopris, cloaked in mid-June green on a recent evening.

Seventeen students from high schools within Colorado Mountain College’s district were awarded Alpine Bank scholarships last Friday, May 10th. CMC’s Youth Outreach Coordinator, Yesenia Arreola, pictured at right above, shares a light moment with scholarship recipient Veronica Mendivil after the ceremony. Congratulations...

Another image from our “1000 Words” series: Dr. Brenda Dann-Messier, assistant secretary for the Office of Vocational and Adult Education, U.S. Department of Education, speaking at the graduation ceremony at CMC in Leadville last Friday. Congratulations to all of our graduates for a job well done!

They say a photo is sometimes worth a thousand words. Here’s one from Steamboat’s graduation last Saturday that we think captures it all, from photographer Ed Kosmicki.  Congratulations to all our recent graduates!
