Community welcome to attend ‘meet and greet’
RIFLE – Five finalists for the post of chief executive officer of Colorado Mountain College’s West Garfield Campus in Rifle will be present for a community “meet and greet” reception on Thursday, Dec. 3, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the campus’s lobby. The public is invited to attend.
The finalists are Dr. Kimberly Farley, associate dean of mathematics and natural sciences at Milwaukee Area Technical College in Milwaukee, Wis.; Dr. Lisa Doney, campus director at West Georgia Technical College – Douglas Campus in Douglasville, Ga.; Dr. D. Ryan Carstens, dean of educational services at Lone Star College in Tomball, Texas; Raymond Geary, dean of continuing education and graduate studies at Elmira College in Elmira, N.Y.; and Dr. Randall Esters, assistant campus dean at Louisiana Community and Technical College System – Avoyelles Campus.
Appetizers and refreshments will be available at the gathering. Those who attend can help to evaluate the finalists, as surveys will be conducted to gain community input.
Since the end of July, Nancy Genova, an executive vice president of the college and former long-time dean of its Roaring Fork Campus in Glenwood Springs, Spring Valley and Carbondale, has filled the Rifle post, after Teri Kinkade relocated to Delta County.
A Colorado Mountain College search committee, with members from throughout the seven-campus college, reviewed the applications for the Rifle post. They whittled down the number to these five finalists for the position of West Garfield Campus CEO. Each campus CEO is also a college vice president.
